I remember reading somewhere once that there are many Antique wrecks all over the bottom of the Mediterranean sea, many yet undiscovered - is it allowed to dive such sites? I guess those are protected areas not to be disturbed...

Well, basically you are correct, they are protected by lour, but DC-s (diving centers) have especial permissions to guide dives on wracks.

And there is relay a lot of wracks in Mediterranean, especially Croatian sea near Pag island, Krk Island, coast of Rovinj, island Crveni....
